A művész pályafutásának 30 éves évfordulóját ünnepli idén és a jubileumi turnéja keretében dupla koncertet ad Budapesten!

There exist certain great and universally-known milestones of classical music that define our entire culture. It is legends like these that take centre stage at this traditional spring concert presented jointly by Klasszik Radio and the Danubia Orchestra.

Virtuosos is a unique talent show and talent management program that has been operating with unbroken success for ten years. It is now an internationally recognized television program that discovers and supports young classical musicians. Part of this mission is to provide opportunities for young people to perform in the most important concert halls. On this occasion, mentors and jury members from the Virtuosos will be on stage together with the young musicians.

After the February concert, in May the BFO will perform two more of Brahms' Hungarian Dances, a challenging concerto, and a symphony that traverses the depths of the musical landscape.

Jordi Savall is at the helm of the Budapest Festival Orchestra again! This time, the living legend of early music will be conducting a production centered around the themes of natural elements and the furies, performed on historic instruments by the Baroque Ensemble of the BFO founded in 2011.

A Szent István Bazilika műemlék Angster-orgonája kizárólag a pénteki esti orgonakoncerteken szólal meg. While listening to the orchestra’s excellent musicians performing in a cozy atmosphere, the audience will learn about the instruments of the symphony orchestra and concert etiquette in a playful and interactive manner. After the concert, the kids can have a mug of cocoa in the lobby.

The Choir of St John's College, Cambridge is an old acquaintance of ours, having already given two acclaimed Christmas concerts here at Müpa Budapest.

Az a zenekar, amelyet Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro életében először vezényelt szülőhazája határain kívül, az a budapesti MÁV Szimfonikus Zenekar volt. 2024. május 24-i koncertünkre a Zeneakadémián néhány óra alatt elkeltek a jegyek, és mivel sokan lemaradtak a lehetőségről, ezért úgy döntöttünk, megismételjük a koncertet másnap, május 25-én, 19:00 órakor az Erkel Színházban!

Erre a koncertre nem kell kiöltözni, nem tart órákig, cserébe barátságos és közvetlen a hangulat, amit még oldottabbá tesznek Fischer Iván szellemes kommentárjai az elhangzó művekről.

A rarely performed suite, a classical concerto, a tribute to Bach, and the cornerstone of a symphonic oeuvre: evoking a Nordic air while occasionally stirring flames of passion, is what the concerto offers. The orchestra performs under the baton of BFO’s regular guest conductor, music director of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Robin Ticciati.

It has become something of a tradition to kick off the new Budapest Festival Orchestra season with an opera. Iván Fischer selects the most diverse array of pieces, ranging from Mozart to Monteverdi to Britten, and never fails to put his signature twist on them.

The Bridging Europe will connect the entire continent this year: a Hungarian rhapsody follows a Spanish dance; an homage to Bach precedes Czech melodies.
