2010-ben pár fiatal zenekart alapít Budapesten. Az első kitűzött cél, egy koncertanyag összehozása, amivel színpadra lehet állni. Amint ez megvan, előkerül a többi is: kellene egy név, egy második koncert és aztán még egy (majd kicsit sietnek, hogy odaérjenek az érettségiről), egy klip, aztán hogy azt játssza az MTV, egy MySpace profil, egy csőnadrág a női részlegről, ha pedig már bejutottak a rádióba egy interjúra, akkor az is, hogy megmutathassák a legújabb daluk.

For the opening concert of the 2025/2026 season, the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra and its Kossuth Prize-winning chief music director György Vashegyi invite the audience first and foremost on a pleasant retrospective by performing Le Roi d’Ys overture from Lalo’s opera, which will cast our minds back to the recent successful premiere of the work in Hungary.

Now 89 years old, and active since the 50s, the Brazilian Hermeto Pascoal is one of the biggest living legends in the Latin jazz world, yet he has never performed in Budapest before. He started out making music with the stars of the local scene in the 60s, and was making records with Miles Davis by 1971.

For the 13th time, the performance of the famous Symphony No. 9 will dominate the OPERA’s New Year celebrations. Every year, a different brilliant composer is selected to direct the masterpiece, and there are no other ensembles in Hungary than the OPERA Orchestra and Chorus who are better acquainted with this work perfect to underscore the hope of a new year.
