Penelopiad is Margaret Atwood’s unique myth adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey, the Trojan War, and the queen of Ithaca, Penelope, the embodiment of female fidelity: a modern-day echo and reflection of Penelope’s story, transposed into a dramatic structure. The highly successful novel written in 2005 is an extension of the tragic fate of Penelope in the captivity of Hades, a projection of the pain and guilt felt by the cruel murder that claimed the lives of the Handmaids.

EXISTENCE is a tango dance theatre work that follows along the journey of human life—from the drifting impetus of youth to the quiet insight of old age. This journey is born in the tango, in the intimacy of the embrace, through the deep connection between the soul and the body.

Festive gala concert with Hungarian and English surtitles

Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of Memoirs of a Geisha. The performance takes viewers into the lonely, secretive, and personal world of Women of Dance and Art, the memoir of an elderly dancer who always danced with her whole soul. Yvette Bozsik’s iconic partner, Tamás Vati, also features in the performance, which reveals the inner work of a dancer’s self-knowledge, rituals, inner vibrations, and secrets in the triple unity of body, soul, and spirit. Yvette Bozsik’s solo performance was inspired by the autobiography Geisha of Gion by Mineko Iwasaki, the protagonist of the world-famous book and film Memoirs of a Geisha.

Az eredeti Kisvakond mese csokorba fűzve több apró könyvrészletből – (film) epizódból kiragadott jelenettel,
egységes egésszé formázva. A mozisok ezt egész estés családi filmként aposztrofálnák, de mivel ez egy bábjáték
+ élőszereplős combo, így elneveztük ezen a néven. A Budapest Bábszínház alkotó gárdájának második
dörmőgőszínházas együttműködése, melynek díszlete és installációi konkrétan a dunai Mesehajó paraméterei
alapján kerültek kidolgozásra. Legfőképpen a legkisebbeknek ajánlott, na jó, az idősek is élvezik, ha
visszamennek a gyerekkorba! Olyan ez, mint az időutazás. Kisvakond amúgy is örökzöld, pedig azóta is fekete

Bábszínházunkban van egy rét. Azon van egy kupac. Ebben a kupacban lakik hét kufli. Fityirc, Pofánka, Bélabá, Hilda, Zödön, Titusz és Valér. Dániel András meséi alapján készült bábelőadásunkkal várjuk a gyerekeket, családokat, kuflirajongókat egyaránt ezúttal a Várkert Bazárban.

Szeptemberben indult útjára a Győri Filharmonikus Zenekar új irodalmi-zenei sorozata, a Kalamáris, melynek házigazdája Dr. Lukácsi Zoltán irodalomtörténész. A győri közönség Visky Andrással, Lackfi Jánossal, Szabó T. Annával, Kiss Judit Ágnessel és Szigethy Gáborral találkozhat a Zichy-palota nagytermében.
