Egy 400 évvel ezelőtt élt indián törzs főnökének legkedvesebb lánya volt. Amikor találkozott egy európai tengerésszel, tulajdonképpen két világ találkozott egymással. Az indiánok hite szerint minden élőlénynek egyformán helye van a világban, és mindegyik ugyanolyan fontos része a teremtésnek. Ruhájukon a számtalan rojt mind egy-egy teremtményt jelképez, így amikor az indián táncolni kezd, vele táncol a mindenség. A tengerészkapitány világában ezzel szemben az ember a természet ura, a fehér ember pedig minden más bőrszínű lény felett uralkodhat, hiszen most is éppen azért jött ide, hogy elvegye az indiánok földjét… Hogy ez a két fiatal hogyan tudja megbékíteni saját népét, hogyan érteti meg velük, hogy ha egymást segítik, mindannyian csak gazdagodhatnak, hiszen van mit tanulniuk a másiktól – nos, erről szól ez a gyönyörű mese.
