The PONT Festival presents traditions, customs, dances, and flavours from Hungary and the Balkans, treasures from UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage. The spirit of the Balkan Peninsula comes to life with a masked festival, rites that chase winter away, and the special atmosphere of fairy tales.
At events throughout the day for the whole family, dances, artisanal traditions, and the fairy tales of the region will be introduced. Experts will teach the tricks of gingerbread making, and carpet making to visitors, who can also make masks and learn to dance the kolo. In the evenings, the music and dance of the region will be presented on the stage.
Through traditions that are parts of the world’s listed cultural heritage, visitors can get a comprehensive view of the past of the region, as well as its present.
