The Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra and its artistic director, István Várdai, are preparing many surprises for the last concert of their seasonal ticket. The rarely played Hartmann concerto is considered to be painful mourning music which, performed by Júlia Pusker and the orchestra, shall offer tears and a feeling of redemption as well as absolution in the end. The musical rarity will be followed by the most frequently played work of Schönberg, a defining composer of modern music. In the second part of the concert, Bottesini's "duo" shall be brought to new life with the solos of István Várdai and Ödön Rácz. The final piece will be Mendelssohn's teenage masterpiece, the youthfully fresh string quartet in A minor radiating vim and vigour with an orchestral sound as played by the ensemble.
