In the world-famous French comedy prominent Parisian businessmen entertain themselves by having a weekly ‘idiots dinner’ where they always invite a potential idiot whom they can ridicule. This time the main character seems to find a perfect candidate in the person of François Pignon. But regrettably, by the time Pignon arrives everything turns bad for the host and a series of disasters begin with a back pain, a leaving wife and a revealed mistress.
