Mission Bell, the latest album of American singer-songwriter and music producer William Fitzsimmons is an album with a special fate and uniquely personal character. He recorded the first versions of the songs in the summer of 2017, in his own home. Later his marriage fell apart, he went through a difficult and complicated period, and even the recordings got lost somehow.

In 2018 he went to Nashville, to try and reproduce the lost songs with help from producer Adam Larry and a few musician friends. In the course of a month they recorded fourteen songs, which are about a decade-long marriage, divorce, betrayal, reconciliation, forgiveness, and starting from scratch.

The recording has the feel of the golden age of LP production, when the tracks were recorded on tape, and everything sounds as when performed in the studio, without processing and improvement. This sound is perfectly suited to the honest, unvarnished, personal, and intimate musicianship that William Fitzsimmons stands up for in every song.
