Now 20 years old, Keep Floyding has reached a new milestone: the band will be returning with a true celebratory programme to the Festival Theatre, which has everything needed to stage The Wall, which remains relevant in spite of turning 40 this year. In their familiar fashion, Keep Floyding will play the work in an arrangement that is as faithful to the original as possible, making the best use of video technology to present this iconic album of progressive rock music - as always, while sneaking a little bit of themselves into the show as well.
Keep Floyding's aim is no less than to preserve the musical legacy of classic rock, Pink Floyd. Even if time travel is not yet possible, they still attempt to evoke the sound, spirit and atmosphere of the era - paying tribute to the amazing technical and musical solutions that, even after the passage of so much time, still attract a sizeable cohort of fans.
Awaiting audience members in the auditorium of the Festival Theatre tonight are a unique sound world, impressive lighting and special - multi-layered - projections. The band will combine elements from the double album and film created for the The Wall, as well as the concert tour, incorporating the personal experiences that the members of the ensemble gained while listening to the record. It is this individuality that is the main emphasis, and those who choose Keep Floyding as their entertainment for this evening will be sure to be enriched by new life experiences from the world of psychedelic rock.
